Research Statement - What do I want to research?
Today's Turning Machine[1] based Operating Systems (OS)[2] are wonderful at executing programs and terrible at adapting to a changing environment or even optimizing its own configuration. A truly robust OS, one that can be used on Deep Space Explorations[3], must be able to adapt to any change with whatever is available. An OS based on a Darwin Machine[4] can do this through mutation and Natural Selection[5]. My research will focus on creating a Distributed OS[6] based on a Darwin Machine. Any OS has three primary characteristics, accuracy, robustness, and speed. A Darwin Machine will maximize accuracy and robustness while loosing speed.[7]
