The student will designate a research article as their dissertation and publish it in a peer-referred journal. The process proceeds as follows:

  1. The student will declare a topic for their dissertation.
  2. The student will write an academic article on that topic.
  3. The student will publish the above article in a peer-referred journal.

Note that the student may publish articles in peer-referred journals before or after the dissertation is published but, those do not count towards fulfilling this requirement. Only the dissertation article counts. Typically the dissertation length is 200-300 pages, not counting software and video. The dissertation counts
